After a 2 week "vacation," ie work is so slow that I had no clients... I received a new referral. I work in social work and you never know what you'll run into. I was referred a client who has marijuanna and alcohol dependence, bipolar disorder and depressive disorder. In addition to this, she has missed several medical and early intervention appointments for her children. Insisting they don't need those services. She also stated that her mental health does not affect her parenting; even though she left the children unsupervised and neglects their medical needs. Yet, the referral said she was open to my services, which would basically push her to complete the aforementioned services. Our protocol is to call the client to try and set up an appointment. If they don't call us back within a few days we are required to show up their door unannounced. With this client it came to the latter, and luckily she wasn't home. It turns out she got a new cell phone with a new phone number. Before I called the new phone number I said to God, "No matter what happens, I don't want this case." Because clearly she does not want services. Then I called her up and spoke to her on the phone. She did not want services! I felt very supported.

The next day I tell my boss that the client declined services. My boss was not upset because another client referral came in. This one was an 18 year old girl who has a 2 year old son. The home is infested with roaches, bed bugs and lice and is a mess. She is in danger of being evicted. Her grandmother is sick with kidney failure. She doesn't know how to obtain financial resources. I did a healing about my fear of bugs. But the thought is still disgusting to me and I got very angry at God. I also asked God not to give me this case. But I got the case anyway. I had had three consecutive positive cases before this referral. There are a few things to note here. 1: I am being tested to make sure my bug issue is healed. 2: God does what is most compassionate for everyone. Meaning this girl wants/needs the help. 3: When I looked up what repels bed bugs and lice; it turns out essential oils of lavender and eucalyptus are effective. I happen to own both of those. I am supported again :). And of course I need to remember I am safe and protected. Attack is not real. Light and Love ❤️
