Lead: Look to the divine for direction

Hey Everyone! I hope everyone is having a peaceful weekend. As you continue on your spiritual journey you will notice many patterns. Patterns of your own behavior, behavior patterns of others which trigger you, and overall life situations which reoccur in different arenas of your life. An example of my life would be following others. And don't get me wrong, many people will have your best interests at heart. Especially those friends and loved ones whom you really trust. And many times the divine does speak through others. However, if you get that feeling in your gut that something is off, or this decision isn't right for you....... trust it. Because God speaks through you as well. And the more you place your faith in God's direction for you life, the more miracles will unfold.

This pattern really came to light for me about a week ago. I finally put the pieces together that I have a tendency to follow others. For various reasons which depend on the situation: it's easier, I am people pleasing, they are in positions of authority etc. Last week, I went to a wonderful church event organized by a friend. I had never been to this church, and there is scarce parking. I passed her car as I was driving, and she instructed me where to park. By the time I found the parking lot, she, and a few other friends in different cars had parked. I looked around and noticed I parked in a spot marked for a permit holder. But, it was Saturday and the spots on the perimeter had bags over the meters. So I thought, "this is weird but maybe they're free today. And my friend told me to park here, she knows the area... it's probably fine." But there was a part of me that wanted to move my car. However, I didn't. And what happened when the event was over? You guessed it, parking ticket.

And a day later I realized, I do this a lot. I get these inclinations or "bad feelings" about doing things a certain way. But I ignore them because a large group of people is doing things another way. And they're all telling me to do it their way. And the funny thing is, their way usually works for them. And that's okay. Because that is their life's journey. And everyone's journey is unique in their own way. But I encourage you to really put your faith in God's way and will for you. He may lead you in directions you don't fully understand, but it's for your soul's highest good. Light and Love <3
