Hello everyone. Please trust that if you are reading this, it is no accident and you've found this post at the perfect time for you. I'd like to take some time to discuss the concept of letting go of limiting beliefs. Limiting beliefs are ideas that we carry about ourselves due to: cultural conditioning, our upbringing or any other myriad of various reasons. Basically they are negative internal beliefs about ourselves. These beliefs are harmful because our thoughts create our reality. And then our reality will reinforce those negative beliefs. And on a vicious hamster wheel of negativity we go. If you ever have the thought, "This always happens to me;" well the "this" is connected to a negative belief you must let go of. Limiting beliefs can block us in becoming our full potential, and fully achieving our dreams. Limiting beliefs are also the reasons why manifesting "doesn't work for everyone." You must first let go of limiting beliefs so that you can become a clear channel for your manifestations. So how do you do this?
I have a book that I am very grateful that I attracted into my life. It is called, How to Heal Yourself When No One Else Can: A Total Self-Healing Approach for Mind, Body and Spirit, by Amy B. Scher. The funny thing is, I bought the book in 2016, and then never read it. I tend to receive my guidance that way, years in advance. And then when I am ready everything unfolds in divine timing for me. But everyone is different. I started reading the book this past summer. There are quite a few self-healing methods in this book, but for the purpose of this entry I will focus on her method of healing limiting beliefs. This book is also written under the premise that all our life experiences, negative beliefs, and trauma are stored in our energy body. I will also add her self-healing poem which she calls a "Verbiage Sweep," contains a clearing for generational and past-life energies. If you do not believe in past lives, please skip over this verse. Personally, I do find this verse very helpful. My other piece of advice is to have an open mind to this healing modality. No healing modality works if your mind is not open to the possibility of healing. The first step is to connect with God/Spirit/Universe by saying a prayer to request that connection. Use whatever synonym you feel comfortable with. The second step is to say the Verbiage Sweep poem below, either out loud or to yourself.
"Even though I have this _________________________ (state the belief), I acknowledge it's no longer working for me.
I give my subconscious full permission to help me clear it, from all the calls in all of my body, permanently and completely.
I am now free to thank it for serving me in the past.
I am now free to release all resistances to letting it go.
I am now free to release all ideas that I need this in order to stay safe.
I am now free to release all ideas that I need it for any reason.
I am now free to release all feelings that I don't deserve to release it.
I am now free to release all conscious and subconscious causes for this belief.
I am now free to release all conscious and subconscious reasons for holding onto it.
I am now free to release all harmful patterns, emotions, and memories connected to it.
I am now free to release all generational or past-life energies keeping it stuck.
All of my being is healing and clearing this energy now, including any stress response stored in my cells.
Healing, healing, healing.
Clearing, clearing, clearing.
It is now time to install the belief that ______________________ (insert a belief that is opposite of whatever you just released; for example, if the belief was 'I am too damaged to heal,' you could install 'I am perfectly able to heal.')
Installing, installing, installing.
Installing, installing, installing.
And so it is done. "
It is recommended after completion of this sweep, you take a few deep breaths. Also, there are some bodily signs of release you may experience during this process. These signal that the sweep worked for you. These may include: "yawning, sighing, getting chills, feeling emotional, burping, " etc. I usually end up yawning.
Sometimes our negative/limiting beliefs are on a subconscious level, and we aren't even aware that we have them. The author includes a long list in the book, but I will include a few of the common ones below.
I'm unlovable
I'll only be loved if I am perfect
I'm worthless
I 'm not enough
I don't know how to heal
I don't have what it takes to heal
I deserve to be sick/unhappy because of something bad I did in the past
I'm too sensitive to heal
Nothing will work anyway
I've always had this problem and I always will
I hope this post finds you well, and in divine timing. Love and Light. Namaste!
