Soul Searching

A void exists within my soul
A seemingly bottomless hole
As I grapple with this plight
My energy draining as I fight.
My first instinct is to run.
Squandering all my hope; I feel despair.
I keep searching for home, but nothing can compare
To God.
God's effervescent light radiates within.
It permeates my being, and absolves me of sin
There is no external condition,
Which fills me with such joy.
Nothing else holds the power,
To adequately fill the void.
When you feel the need to quench your soul's thirst
I suggest seeking God's love within, first.
